The Lady Minto Hospital (LMH) Auxiliary Society provides funds monthly to our Lady Minto Hospital Auxiliary Liaison to help fund special celebrations e.g. Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, a Strawberry Tea and Fall Pumpkin Pie Party etc. as well as the Christmas Party and gift giving for residents.

The Auxiliary supports the Greenwoods Recreation Department with funds for activity incidentals such as program supplies, a bi- monthly lunch programmes at Greenwoods and Braehaven, specialized dementia care items, bingo prizes at weekly Greenwoods games, and Shaw Cable service for the resident’s main lounge at Braehaven.  In 2020, the Auxiliary provided $1,390. to support activities and care of residents at both Braehaven and Greenwoods.

COVID-19 Note: Many of these recreation programs were curtailed in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

In 2023, our auxiliary donated $7,947 to support special bi-monthly meal programmes, activity incidentals, recreation software and entertainment subscriptions at both Greenwoods and Braehaven.

In 2024, our auxiliary supported special bi-monthly meal programmes at Greenwoods $1,930 and Braehaven 1,133.82

An example of program supply funding is a note card project.  Students volunteers worked with residents to paint posters that were photo-reduced to print note cards.  These cards were sold at the annual Christmas sale at Braehaven to generate funds for Greenwoods.
